From The Darkness Into The Light
The Winter Solstice has brought us back the Sun. It has kept it’s promise once again. The Spring will return. Our gardens will grow. Another wheel of year will turn. We have passed from the darkness into the light once again. Rejoice!
It Fills Us With Hope
Depending on what holiday you celebrate, the astrological event Winter Solstice, marks the time of the year most of our December holidays are rooted in. It all comes back to the light. We long to the light. It fills us with hope. It helps us dream about Spring flower beds, and the first ripe tomatoes to come.
The Spirit Of The Season
With our Christmas trees beautifully lit and the star, or angel, on top, they are certainly a beautiful sight to behold. We see the memories of the Christmas Star that shone so bright, in this tradition. We long for the Spirit of the season to find us and to light us from the inside. It comforts and reassures us. Hope lives in the light.
Simply said, we long to, and need the light that the Winter Solstice brought back to us faithfully again this year. The light is the wonder of the season. We light up our homes, inside and out. Our municipalities light up our streets. Our places of worship light up their sanctuaries for us to find comfort in. We see the occasional car lit up for the holidays these days making us smile even in the darkness. Hallelujah!
Blessed are we that the Winter Solstice brought back the light once again!
