A Soulful Solution
Choosing for yourself a soulful solution rather than the run of the mill New Years resolution, is a way for your yearly declarations to hold greater meaning. By seeking your soul for the answers, you may find a more meaningful direction to place your focus on this year.
Resolution or Solution
Being mindful of what calls to you is a good way to get started. For example, how many times do we choose something like loosing weight? Quite often our resolutions are more about physical appearance or about acquiring more material goods. Too often our resolutions are the result of our physical wants and needs and less to do what lies at the heart of us. A soulful solution challenges us to seek the changes that might make the biggest impact on the quality of life we long to live.
Soul Mining For Solutions
When we look a bit deeper across the landscape of our journey, what do we hope to accomplish with our lives? This is the big question we should be asking ourselves. When doing some real soul mining we may be surprised at the things we have hid away from even ourselves:
- What did you hope to be when you grew up?
- What dreams did you leave behind in an effort to meet your everyday needs?
- What dreams slipped through your fingers on your way to becoming a responsible adult?
Your Soul Knows The Solution
We don’t have to dig very deep to find where our goals still reside within us. Those long held truths try to reach us when we sleep. They surface when our guards are down when talking with our close friends. They find their way to take flight in our wildest of day dreams. They flow out effortlessly in our journals where we reveal our secret longings. These wants, hidden inside from the harsh world, can become our soulful solutions.
So instead of a new diet this year, or yet another exercise plan, dig deeper. Let’s dig down to where our soul has been cultivating our dreams, just waiting for us to remember them. Gifting yourself a soulful solution, may just be the best New Years Resolution of all.
