Archangel Raphael with Shield

Archangel Raphael is one of the most well-known archangels of Christian mythology.  His name translates to "God has healed" or the "Shining One who heals", therefore he is known as the "All-Healingr" angel.  Additionally, he's the angel of science & knowledge, protector from cravings & addiction, as well as the Guardian of the Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden.  Often depicted with a serpent, a universal symbol for healing in western medicine, he is the patron saint of healers, writers, & travelers.
