Shamanfire Yule Celebration 2018
Yule traditionally falls on the Winter Solstice and is a celebration of light. The Winter Solstice is the longest night of the year and represents the opportunity for introspection. During this time people reflect on the past year and all that has been and light candles to shed light on the things they want to manifest in the year to come. This is a time to welcome back the light as the Wheel of the Year turns once again.
Many of the popular images seen in the modern holiday of Christmas have their roots in the earlier pagan celebrations of Yule, including the tree, reindeer, gift giving, elves and Santa Claus. During our ceremony we will have a short discussion on the imagery, history and timeless traditions of Yule and the Winter Solstice.
Please join us as we celebrate this special time of year in ceremony, including drumming and songs of the holiday. This is a free, family friendly community celebration and All are welcome. There may even be a visitation from Odin himself, in his guise of Woodland Santa, to share in the holiday Magick!
Hosted by shamanic practitioner Roger Lockshier and Rachel Wurz.
