This week, we've welcomed the return of Spring with the celebration of Ostara, and following right in its heels, bringing us the fires of renewal, was the New Moon in Aries. Both point to great periods of growth and inspiration, as the final lingering vestiges of winter slough off to make room for the buds and blossoms of the new season.

Aries Energy

The first sign in the wheel of the Zodiac, Aries rules over the head and is in charge of monitoring energy levels. This means it's a good time to focus on revisiting old projects that may have fallen by the wayside, or be on the lookout for new opportunities that may surprise you, as that Aries energy will bring the wind back to your sails. Right now, the climate is ripe for fostering creativity and momentum.

Fiery Aries is about passion and drive. It's influence may lead to heightened emotions and excitability in areas such as your relationships and personal projects or aspirations. Anywhere your spark lies, expect the flames to be burning a bit brighter this week.

Ostara's Influence

Coupled with the energy from the equinox, you may be feeling restless and have trouble sleeping. This energy is pushing you towards action. Even if you're not sure where to channel that energy, a good rule of thumb is to set your intentions to point you towards a good lead. So, even if you're not certain where you're headed now, you can be certain you're being lead to where you need to be. Also remember that, just because nothing notable may seem to be happening overtly, it doesn't mean the seeds of progress aren't quietly incubating in the background. Set your intention and trust the process.

It's also a good time to take to the garden and plant your seeds -- literally and figuratively!

During Ostara, we honor the awakening of the Sun and the Earth. After the pensive, restful period of winter, and the first stirrings of Imbolc,  Ostrara emerges in its full glory. As the green lushness returns to the trees and flora burst into colorful blooms, we are reminded of the abundance and life that surrounds us. It is a time of renewal, excitement, vitality, and inspiration.

Working With the Flow

If you missed out on observing the New Moon or Equinox proper, don't sweat it! You can still work with the ambient energies from these two events. Make those networking calls you've been putting off; pick up the guitar that's been collecting dust in the corner again and give it a try! Start checking in with your passions and see which ones are jumping out at you at this time.
Take time to commune with nature and greet the greenery around you as it springs back into vibrance. Walk barefoot and practice grounding your energy back into the Earth. Offer up any pent-up feelings of heaviness to the breeze and ask the air to clear your head and for the sun to warm your heart.

Do some Spring Cleaning! Sometimes things can't manifest properly if there isn't room for them to grow. Our environment also plays a significant role in how we feel day-to-day. So, take some time to clear out the old junk and make room for the new possibilities coming your way. Maybe take part in a mindful sweeping ritual, where you sweep out all the stagnant energies that have collected over the past months and huck 'em out the door! Follow up with a floor wash anointed with one of these colognes

Contemplate on those passions from earlier and use them as inspiration. Next, write out your goals or intentions on a piece of paper and plant them outside along with some seedlings. Nurture both every day and watch as they grow!
